Job description
We are looking for a talented UX Researcher to join our dedicated 50-person design studio. Our team has a diverse set of skills and expertise coming from all kinds of backgrounds. As a researcher at UX studio, you’ll be able to work with international brands from all over the world, from industry giants to innovative startups in diverse fields.

You live in Hungary, and could come in twice a week to our Budapest office.
A degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology or HCI can be an advantage.
What you’ll do
Understanding client requirements and facilitating kick-off meetings.
Creating project and research plans.
Recruiting for research studies (e.g. interviews, user tests).
Creating guides for research studies.
Conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
Analysing data: organizing and synthesizing data from your research.
Synthesizing and communicating research insights to the client and team members.
Coming up with innovative ideas and solutions to real-life problems in close collaboration with your designer partner.
Keeping up with industry trends, and making sure we are using the latest best practices.
Ability to communicate in a clear manner with clients, direct teams, and manage multiple cases.
Leading and facilitating workshops to boost collaboration with client teams.
Managing smooth project handovers to clients.
Skills
At least 2 years of experience conducting UX research for digital products, ideally in a tech, startup, or agency environment.
Comfortable leading the full research process: from defining goals and planning studies to recruiting, running sessions, analyzing results, synthetising and sharing insights with the team.
Strong proficiency in qualitative research methods such as user interviews, usability testing, and contextual inquiry.
Experience with quantitative approaches such as survey design and execution, basic statistics, data analysis, and integrating quantitative measures with qualitative insights to inform product decisions.
Familiar with tools like Figma, FigJam, Miro, Google Forms, Alchemer, Surveysparrow, Dovetail, Condens, UserTesting, User Interviews, Respondent or Lyssna.
Bonus if you’ve worked with analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel), advanced research methods (such as diary studies, or A/B testing), or have an interest in using tools like Python, or R.
Ability to clearly document and communicate research insights for both design teams and stakeholders.
Experience collaborating closely with designers, PMs, and developers.
Confidence in facilitating workshops with teams and stakeholders to support alignment, ideation, and decision-making.
You work well independently, but you’re also great at taking feedback and keeping others in the loop.
Fluency in German and the ability to conduct research in German is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.

You will have a short informal chat with Bia, and talk about you and your experience. She will tell you more about UX studio, and you’ll also have the chance to ask questions you may have.

Challenge
We will ask you to work on a challenge related to your position. You will have one week to work on it. This task is solely for the purpose of measuring your skillset, and we always give feedback on your work.

Final interview
We evaluate the challenges and invite the most successful applicants to a final interview, where you’ll have a chat with our Leaders and colleagues who evaluated your challenge.

Decision
After the final interviews we make a decision who will we make an offer to. No matter the decision, each candidate receives a personalized feedback and an update of the outcome.
